JENNIFER KIESEWETTER, ESQ.
As the founding and managing member of the Kiesewetter Law Firm, PLLC, and licensed in the State of Tennessee, Ms. Kiesewetter has extensive experience representing employer clients in the areas of employee benefits, qualified and nonqualified employee benefit plans, welfare benefit plans, governmental plans, private company executive compensation plans, and regulatory compliance and governance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”), the Internal Revenue Code and the Affordable Care Act (“ACA”), in addition to the other federal laws governing employee benefits and health care compliance.
Ms. Kiesewetter is also a freelance writer and editor with over 10 years of experience in writing magazine, newspaper, industry publication, and blog writing, creating engaging content for human resources, legal, healthcare, and business clients.
Her writing, speaking and teaching approach — no matter the medium — is to break down complicated legal and business issues into coherent and easily digestible bites. Ms. Kiesewetter understands that with pressing issues facing organizations today, written and spoken information must demonstrate its relevance as well as be comprehensible, whether an organization is targeting employees, customers, or clients with its message.
Additionally, Ms. Kiesewetter has been an adjunct professor of employee benefits at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law for over ten years, where she now teaches remotely. She previously served as an adjunct professor at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where she taught bargaining and negotiation as well as human and legal aspects of health care management. She’s also a frequent speaker to human resources, financial, health care and business groups on the topics of employee benefits, health care regulatory compliance law, and human resources law.
